A & S got married...

and the pictures and the photographer absolutely sucked.
She was the worst photograher I have ever encountered. I said nothing at the time, thinking that hey maybe her crappy attitude, bossy demeanor and general annoying personality would be worth it and A would get amazing shot. Yeah, not so much. She is someone who has the basics down, has a nice camera, a few lenses and a webpage. Other than that, I shot better pictures of A than she did. In 2 hours. In a field. In November. With full sun.
Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Southern Ontario

A lot has been said about Southern Ontario, most of it is true and the better part of that is negative. I love Southern Ontario. It is where my heart still lies as I explore the New West. Most people think of Southern Ontario as Toronto or Niagara Falls. There is so much more than just tacky tourist traps and the CN tower. It is hills, forests, cliffs, lakes, farmers fields and hidden little patches of heaven.
These are among my favorites that I have taken of Southern Ontario, Northern has its charm, but that is another post.

Stampede

Yahoo!
This is the time of the year that I will dig deep into myself and channel my inner cowgirl. I have boots, a hat, a good pair of jeans and a shirt that makes me feel at home in Nashville North.
I indulge in the rodeo, the chucks, drink some beer, eat a few corndogs and mini donuts and life as pretty good. I feel myself get a little irritated with the protesters and almost feel the need to defend the sport.
See my inner cowboy.
This year was no different, I did lose the toonie bets at the last race, Sutherland let me down and Shanna took Heat 8 & 9...

The beginning

After being relocated from the East of Canada to the heart of the new West, I found myself an ironic cowboy. She who abhored all things country, cringed at cowboy boots, hats, music and found anything to do with domestication altogether loathsome suddenly found herself on the edge of the prairies knee deep in cloth diapers, woolen soakers with the smell homemade black & white chili simmering in the house.
This is a walk in my boots and a view of someone who is living the pioneer life. Not in the traditional sense, but in a more personal life changing way. New sights and sounds, new experiences and paving a new way for myself and my family.
